Level-Up Leadership Lab Workshops

Making Soft Skills Less Hard - soft skills are some of the most discussed professional talents from year to year. The reason is, these “soft skills” are actually difficult. They are less difficult when examined from a factual standpoint. Soft skills are known, predictable, and able to be utilized in problem solving as much or more than numeric-based hard skills.

Artfully Awkwardly Forward - confrontations and accountability are not easy discussions to hold. No matter how skilled a person is, no such conversation is perfect. Learn how to prepare, engage, and follow-up after stressful chats

Dr. What or: How to be a Genuinely Curious Boss - reporters are taught to ask who, what, where, when, why, and how. Curios Boss’s focus on what. What do we know, What actually occurred, What if we change one thing, What is keeping us from being awesome? Leaders will more deeply develop curiosity and inquiry without seeming accusatory or like a Captain Smartypants.

Adequate Boss to Purposeful Leader - most people in leadership roles were promoted from a nearly unrelated position. This means most leaders are doing what they’ve seen as around 85% have no formal training. Leaders can move from where they are to where they want to be with purpose.

He truly leads by example and is a great educator. One of Sam’s strengths is that he can take theoretical knowledge from the classroom and demonstrate practical application of those theories in the real-world setting.

What is your investment for the Level-Up Leadership Lab?
Your time and attention. No financial investment is required.

The Level-Up Leadership Lab came to me when I was thinking about how leaders get to the position they're in. One boss might be a joy outside of work and an absolute mess at work. Two questions:

     1) How can that be?
     2) Isn't that exhausting?

Supported with my research in job satisfaction and burnout, I started a kind of root-cause analysis. The question is not "How did you get here," rather, "From where did you start and how was the journey?"

Yep, I've earned degrees, including the doctorate. I'm aware that some folks who get the PhD think they know everything about everything. I know a lot about my topic. More importantly, I learned how to ask better questions due to my natural curiosity and my desire for each person to work in a space that they can succeed without disregarding who they are.

This is how we get to work. This is my program, my presentation style. No script, no polished videos. Just me, you, and the exploration of your journey from today to becoming your version of a Leveled-Up Leader.
